Jasmyne Gilbert (she/her/hers) is visionary cultural mythologist with over a decade of experience facilitating complex, innovative initiatives for social transformation and working with communities who have borne the impact of intentional disinvestment and neglect in the U.S. She believes in a world where people use their collective power and existential despair for personal and social transformation.
Jasmyne is a second year Mythological Studies student at Pacifica Graduate Institute, and Senior Co-Editor of the Mythological Studies Journal. Her research interests lie at the intersection of social constructionism, Black feminism, media and culture studies, myth, and depth psychology. She currently resides in so-called Los Angeles on occupied Gabrielino/Tongva land.
